Maria Montgomery

Partner, Development and New Homes - Residential Sales

1. What attracted you to Fenn Wright?

Having worked in a “corporate” agency I was searching for a non-corporate organisation and was attracted to Fenn Wright as it had such a good reputation in the industry.

2. How long have you been with Fenn Wright and how have you progressed?

Since 2003. I progressed from senior negotiator in the Residential Sales department to Land and New Homes. Then I was promoted to associate partner and two years later promoted to salaried partner. I have learned from various heads of departments in areas such as Survey, Commercial and Professional and I have been on NAEA courses. I also attend industry events which look at areas affecting the business in the short, medium and long term - on behalf of Fenn Wright.

3. What does your job involve doing?

My responsibilities are to head up the Land and New Homes division across Fenn Wright in Colchester, Chelmsford, Manningtree, Ipswich, Witham, Kesgrave and Sudbury's branches. This involves working with the wider team in each office identifying opportunities for the development of any land that comes to the market and dealing with the developers who build the houses which we then sell on their behalf.

4. What makes working at Fenn Wright different to other estate agents?

It’s like a family!

5. Which word would sum up your experience at Fenn Wright?

Fulfilling.
