My business rates are very high, should I arrange an Appeal?
Business rates liability is closely linked to the rateable value which is allocated to all non-domestic premises. This rateable value is no more than an estimate by Inland Revenue of the rental value of the property. To successfully challenge the rateable value it is necessary to prove that the value attributed to the property by Inland Revenue is excessive.
