Former Partner, Bob Wright, sadly passed away aged 87

Bob was a much-respected rural practice surveyor who lived all his life in Great Bentley, having been born in Colchester in 1929. His father was George Thomas Wright, who went into partnership with John Fenn on his return from the First Word War which was when ‘Fenn & Co’ became ‘Fenn Wright’.

Alan Williams, Managing Partner at Fenn Wright said “ Bob was the Senior Partner in the 1980’s and was clearly of a different era.  He was hugely influenced both by his father and by John Fenn.  He was a true gentleman who was highly regarded and always referred to in the office as ‘Mr Wright’.”

Next year we celebrate our 250th anniversary and much of what we know about the firm in years gone by is due to Bob writing down his memories of life at Fenn Wright.  He lost his beloved wife Olive several years ago and we send our condolences to his daughters and family.
