Developer revamps Brightlingsea marina
Phase I of Harbourside at Waterside Marina launched with the opening of a new show apartment
The Purelake Group acquired the part-built development complex and marina on Brightlingsea’s waterfront in 2016 and proudly unveiled details of their new scheme ‘Harbourside’ at Waterside Marina in the ancient maritime town last Saturday 28th July.
The inaugural launch of Phase I of this welcomed rejuvenation project attracted much interest with many prospective buyers visiting the marketing suite to learn more about the new Harbourside properties.
Maria Montgomery, Land and New Homes Partner said: “With temperatures soaring and increased desire for waterside living, we had a very promising start to the sales campaign with the first reservations being taken. The show apartment is beautifully presented and now that visitors have a finished example of what to expect, we are confident that this development will continue to flourish.
“The developer has put so much emphasis into breathing life back into Waterside Marina and their investment in this scheme and marina is clear to see. Consideration has also been given to reconfigure some of the original internal layouts, making the properties more appealing to the wider market.”
Harbourside comprises a brand new collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments and houses. These offer some of the best contemporary living in the area, with many properties offering sea views and balconies. Two bedroom apartments within Phase I of the scheme will start from £175,000.
Tracey Wheelan, Sales Director at The Purelake Group said: “We are reinvigorating the Waterside Marina in Brightlingsea with new investment and a brand new development of luxury apartments and houses. Working alongside the Brightlingsea Harbour Commissioners, who are doing a fantastic job, we are investing in the area to offer new facilities to the public and improving the existing vista of the marina. Our Harbourside development of 53 luxury, one, two and three bedroom apartments and 5 family homes sits in the heart of the marina.
“As owners, Purelake are committed to the long-term development of the marina and are focused on working with the local community in the area.”
The decommissioned development that had been in the hands of receivers since the 2008 recession was thrown a lifeline by the award-winning Bromley based developers. The residents of Brightlingsea and surrounding areas have supported Purelake since taking ownership of the marina, which is managed by Brightlingsea Harbour Commissioners.
Purelake inherited the original developer’s proposals and went back to the drawing board by devising and crafting a vastly improved scheme with the full approval of Tendring Council. The new plans include more three bedroom homes and additional parking spaces whilst there will be fewer one bedroom dwellings and commercial units. A new public right of way will be created to join the promenade with the marina and additional landscaping of the courtyard..
The marketing suite at Harbourside, Waterside Marina in Brightlingsea will be open every Saturday between 11.00am – 2.00pm until September. Viewings are by appointment only and can be arranged by telephone 01206 763388.
