Fenn Wright let new premises to Emily Mortimer Jewellery

Emily Mortimer Jewellery has today announced plans to open a brand-new HQ in Deben Wharf, Woodbridge.  The Suffolk-based designer will open her first store on Wednesday 14th April, in line with Government guidelines.  At a time when retail has struggled over the last year, Emily is excited to be part of the reopening of the retail industry and looks forward to this new chapter for the brand.

In the early days, Emily was designing jewellery in her bedroom, since then the brand has gone from strength to strength with Emily now moving into this key retail space.  After celebrating the fifth anniversary of Emily Mortimer Jewellery last year, Emily felt that opening her own store was the next step for natural progression.

Emily commented “In such uncertain times I am so excited to be doubling the size of our HQ and moving Emily Mortimer Jewellery into Deben Wharf, Woodbridge.  I saw the space advertised with Fenn Wright during lockdown and knew this would be the next step for EM, the space has a real industrial feel.  There is a notable social buzz by the waterfront and even though we aren’t able to open yet, it is 100% the up-and-coming place to be, with a great selection of shops and restaurants and hopefully more to come.”

Emily has enjoyed great success the last couple of years and puts this down to giving her all to each and every new collection she designs, as well as crediting her local customers for her exponential growth.

“I will be opening up our doors for shopping for the first time to the public from Wednesday to Saturday from the 14th of April onwards and I am really looking forward to introducing more people to EM and adding another element to our already growing online and by appointment only business.”

Emily’s jewellery is versatile and vibrant, designed for both the everyday and extraordinary occasions.  One of her first ever collections, (Echo – gold and silver initial discs, available as both bracelets and necklaces), is still one of the most popular – with many famous faces having donned the Echo collection including Laura Whitmore and Binky Felstead.  Other pieces have been seen on Fiona Bruce, Vogue Williams and TV presenter Francesca Cumani.  The brand also counts royal connections amongst its fans, with Meghan Markle often spotted wearing both the Nova and Hera earrings.  The most recent Disco and chain collections are perfect for layering and bring a touch of glamour to the everyday, Emily also offers a full bespoke service – ideal for creating something special and completely unique.

Hamish Stone, who managed the letting on behalf of the landlord added “I was delighted to be able conclude the letting of Unit 2, Deben Wharf to Emily Mortimer Jewellery.  Woodbridge is a thriving market town on the banks of the River Deben and the former Whisstocks site is fast becoming the place to be after benefitting from significant investment.  I would like to personally wish Emily all the best and I am sure she will continue to be as successful as ever.”

Visit Deben Wharf from 14th April to see Emily’s full collections in person or visit the website to book your bespoke appointment.
