Proud sponsors of The Tendring Show & Suffolk Dog Day

Thousands of people travelled to the 105th Tendring Show* at Lawford House Park near Manningtree on Saturday 9th July following a two year absence.  Fenn Wright were proud to be among the event’s sponsors.

The day was a non-profit event organised by the Tendring Hundred Farmers’ Club to celebrate the area’s agriculture, with the theme of this year’s show being food, farming and fitness.

There were over 250 trade stands and exhibits together with an undercover shopping market, food pavilion and art and lifestyle marquee.  Animals at the show ranged from horses, cattle, sheep and goats to guinea pigs and ‘fancy rats’.

The Fenn Wright sponsored land train was a popular attraction in the beautiful July sunshine.

Managing Partner Joseph Hall commented “The roots of our business are closely associated with Tendring and its farming community.  Both John Fenn and George Wright farmed in the area in the early part of the 20th century so we were very proud sponsors.  I thoroughly enjoyed the day with my family along with thousands of happy faces enjoying the return of this wonderful event.”

Suffolk Dog Day was also back after a two year hiatus and the event on Sunday 31st July was incredibly well attended.  Fenn Wright were pleased to once again sponsor the event and run the Fun Dog Scurry.

Held at Helmingham Hall, Suffolk Dog Day is a fantastic family day out, with plenty of fun activities for dogs (and owners!) of all agilities, and a number of stands selling everything from dog accessories to cheese.  Organised by Suffolk Community Foundation, every penny of money raised goes to to help fund voluntary groups and charities throughout Suffolk.

Alistair Mitchell, Partner at Fenn Wright, who organised the Fun Dog Scurry said “The event overall was a great success and we had around 150 dogs take part in the scurry – despite the water level being a bit lower than ideal!  Our team really enjoyed taking part and helping to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause.  We look forward to supporting Suffolk Community Foundation and Suffolk Dog Day again in 2023.”
