Successful Q1 for Ipswich commercial team
Following a very strong commercial property market throughout 2016, the first quarter of 2017 provides no indication that this trend is likely to change. Fenn Wright’s, Ipswich commercial department has completed a number of lettings in the first quarter of 2017 including a trade counter unit of 5,300 sq. ft. at Ransomes Europark and a 10,000 sq. ft. office suite at Crown House, both located in Ipswich.
A new superstore has been opened by Fishing Republic on Bermuda Road, Ransomes Europark, one of 12 new stores the business is planning to open in East Anglia and the south-east as part of its expansion plans. This is yet another sign that regional and national retailers continue to see the area as an important location.
Company expansion has become somewhat of a trend in Ipswich, the latest being Derivco which is expanding its operation within Crown House and has been granted a new 10-year business lease on a fully refurbished ground floor suite, representing the most significant office transaction to occur locally so far this year.
The Ipswich arm of the international software development business already occupies suites on the third and fourth floors of Crown House, and with the acquisition of the ground floor, the company’s office space will increase to over 23,000 sq. ft.
Following the recent refurbishment of Derivco’s new suite, further ongoing projects include a new double height glazed reception entrance and café, both of which are due to be completed in the summer.
