Walking for Tom: Our 2026 Charity Challenge

04 Jun 26

Following the success of last year’s fundraising efforts, we’re thrilled to be taking on a new challenge in support of our Charity of the Year, The Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation – an extraordinary organisation dedicated to supporting teenagers and young adults living with cancer.

On Thursday 2nd July, a team from Fenn Wright will set off on an ambitious 30 mile sponsored walk, beginning at our newly revamped Manningtree office, heading out to Felixstowe, and finishing the journey in Woodbridge.  It’s a route that promises challenge, camaraderie and plenty of stunning scenery along the way.

Founded in 2014 in Tom’s memory, the Foundation has already raised over £2million to support young people and their families.  Their work is essential; a cancer diagnosis can leave families facing an average of £750 per month in additional costs – from lost income to increased travel and household expenses.  At a time when every ounce of energy should be focused on caring for a young person facing cancer, financial strain can quickly become overwhelming.  Thanks to generous supporters, the Foundation has created age‑appropriate hospital spaces across the UK and significantly invested in pioneering research into targeted treatments for teenage cancers.

Miranda Sandison, Managing Partner commented “The Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation was chosen by our staff and is a truly worthy cause that I’m delighted Fenn Wright can support for another year.  I would like to wish everyone taking part in our charity walk the very best of luck, and extend my thanks to Nigel Berry, Donald Barber and Roseanna Seaton for their help in organising the event.”

As we take on this new challenge for 2026, our goal is to raise both awareness and vital funds for this remarkable charity, led by Richard and Nikki Bowdidge and their dedicated team.  Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.
