Vacancy Details

The Payroll and Operations Co-ordinator is responsible for preparing and processing the payroll accurately and efficiently. The role also supports daily operational functions, including administrative tasks and assisting with the implementation of improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organised and capable of handling confidential information with discretion whilst supporting smooth business operations across all departments and offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support throughout the recruitment process, including listing available vacancies, shortlisting candidates, scheduling interviews, preparation of new starter documentation and onboarding
  • Accurately calculate and process payroll using a combination of spreadsheets and Brightpay- from collection of payroll data through to journal posting on the accounting system
  • Manage pension administration processes, including employee enrolments, contributions and communications with pension providers
  • Administer Benefits in Kind
  • Maintain and monitor absence records for both HR and payroll purposes, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance
  • Respond to internal queries relating to HR, payroll, operational and general administrative matters in a timely and professional manner
  • Prepare ad-hoc correspondence and documentation
  • Support day-to-day office operations, including procurement and supply management to ensure smooth office functionality

Experience

  • Strong administration experience in a role which has varied demands and requires the ability to assess priority and complete tasks accordingly
  • Payroll processing experience required
  • English – Maths (Grade A-C / 9-4)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality – the role will involve exposure to sensitive and confidential information- signing a confidentiality agreement will be required.
