Farms and Estates advice services

Practical, technical advice

Our expertise is based on providing the best technical advice, balanced with a practical approach, to provide an effective solution to any issue.

We aim to deal with any subject proactively and efficiently to mediate through a problem and avoid conflict. Where litigation is the only option, we provide support as expert witness’ or technical advisors to ensure the best outcome for our clients.

Not all issues facing the rural industry are potentially contentious. We also provide advice and consultation to maximise asset performance and identify new income streams, as well as strategic advice to protect asset wealth. Whether you are a landowner, owner-occupier or tenant we can provide professional advice on a range of subjects including:

  • Compulsory purchase
  • Property law
  • Rent reviews, renewals and restructuring
  • Rural planning & development
  • Compliance
  • Mediation and arbitration
  • Conservation
  • Grants & subsidies
  • Accounting & taxation
  • Diversification
  • Agriculture
  • Expert witness testimony

Rural property valuations

The value of a rural asset may need to be determined for a variety of purposes. If you are considering selling or buying a rural property then we can advise in an agency capacity by providing a market appraisal. You can read more about our agency service for rural property here.

For all other purposes a formal valuation in accordance with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Valuation Standards - often referred to as a Red Book valuation - may be required. We can provide these too.
