The Windmill was built in Woodbridge and moved to Ramsey in 1842 and used until the second world war. Between 1974 and 1978 it was restored. The windmill is a postmill with a three storey round house and measures some 48’ high and has 4 patent sails. The lower two levels are currently used with a connecting ladder between the two.
At the rear of the site are gates that lead through to a field that has been rented from the landowner as paddock land of approximately 3 acres. If required, enquiries could be made to whether this could be extended to any new owner of Windmill House.
